About Doocado

Most small food businesses cannot afford a custom app and website, and off-the-shelf marketplaces bury them among competitors while taking a cut of every order. Doocado's model is the opposite: each restaurant gets its own branded storefront and apps, with ordering, menu management and customer interactions under its own name.

The product has since grown into a broader ordering ecosystem, including AI-assisted ordering over web and messaging, but its foundation is the per-restaurant website and app platform that Hello World Technologies built.

A five-year product partnership

Hello World Technologies has partnered with founder Yansel for five years, building Doocado from the ground up. What began as bespoke, hand-built sites and apps evolved into an automated product factory that now serves hundreds of restaurants.

We function as Doocado's product and engineering team, designing the system, building the automation, and maintaining the websites and apps that restaurants depend on to take orders every day.

Project requirement

Building a custom website and a pair of iOS and Android apps for every restaurant, by hand, does not scale. Each new client meant repeating the same build, the same configuration and the same app-store submissions, work measured in weeks per venue, with maintenance multiplying as the roster grew.

Doocado needed to turn that bespoke process into a repeatable pipeline: feed in a restaurant's data — menu, branding, business details — and have a complete, branded web and mobile build come out the other end, consistently and quickly.

It also had to stay maintainable at scale: hundreds of live, individually branded websites and apps, each updated and supported without a linear increase in engineering effort.

Solution and result

We designed and built the engine that powers Doocado. Restaurant owners, or the Doocado team, supply menu, branding and business details, and the platform auto-generates a full website plus native iOS and Android apps for that specific restaurant, with branding, configuration and build output handled automatically, without per-client engineering.
